Sri Lanka has a good climate for travellers throughout the year. It is tropical (hot & humid) and tempered by sea breezes on the coast with the average temperature there at 27ºC and around 14ºC in the hill country. There are two seasons, dry and monsoon, with two monsoons occurring in north & southern parts of the country at different times.
